The booklet (vol. one of four) includes 20 separate exercises that are presented in work book form. It is easy to read and to figure out if you do not read music. There is plenty of space to re-write, make notes or draw patterns. Even though all of the patterns are in four-four time, they take on the dense rhythmic feel that folklorist Bessie Jones called the DRUMFOLK.
